Door Dash didn't have a place to add sauces. I called and they made sure to include my sauces. They even called me back to make sure my order came through. Customer service is A+. The food is always amazing.
We've been going to Calle Sol for years and always considered it one of the few good options in Charlotte for Cuban-inspired food — we're Cuban American and never expected 100% authentic, just tasty food in its own right, and it delivered on that for a long time. First, the hostess was very friendly. Our waiter, Jacob, was stellar - so attentive and provided terrific menu suggestions, many of which we ordered. This was our first dining experience at Calle Sol. Everything was outstanding. We started with the chopped solterido salad with Sherry vinaigrette - delicious! The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have good weekend lunch specials. It would be nice if they had a menu in Spanish as well as English, but aside from that everything was great!
Great first experience visiting Calle Sol. Easy parking in a garage just across the street from the restaurant and free for the first 3 hours. I went for lunch and got the Solterito salad, which was on special for $10. All of the veggies in the salad were super fresh, the slow roasted pork was very moist & flavorful, and the Amarillo Ranch was great.
