I cannot support the PTA when they support (SB277) stripping parents right to choose what is injected in their child. Absolute insanity!
Thank you for supporting SB277 and helping keep our kids safe at school from preventable, communicable diseases!
It's bad enough the PTA is the right hand of the CTA in California. But when they unilaterally decide to endorse legislation with out asking for input from its members they loose what little respect I had for their organization. How coukd you support SB277? Can't you see this will cost teachers their jobs? More importantly, children their lives?!!!! I'll never be a member again and I will lobby everyone I know to rescind their membership.
I am appalled that the PTA would support a blatant infringement of parental rights by supporting SB277. This is a Senate Bill that was just passed and signed into law by Jerry Brown that says that you and I as parents do not have the right to decide what goes into our child's body. And also takes away the right of our children to have a free public education if they are not vaccinated.
Endorsing a law that takes parental rights is a HUGE mistake. You are losing lots of support with this decision..
Very disappointed that this organization supports government that is stripping parents of our rights.
Its very very sad to see The Parent Teachers Association deviating so far away from what the PTA originally was set up to do. The PTA is a disgrace to parents all over America and the public school system as a whole. This is a very sad day indeed. My father was a school teacher and he would be appalled at what the PTA is today. God rest his soul. I'm glad he is not here to see the PTA today. I find your logo to be very insulting given your position on SB277. "California State PTA everychild. one voice" is in very poor taste.... read more
