1425 Lincoln Ave. Smog Test Station. – I felt like I was totally scammed, oh they were nice, took my truck in tested it, said I needed a new gas cap. OK, went and got one had to test again, but only half price. It failed again, so far $85.00 in. They said I had to take it to my mechanic, so I did, he looked at the paper work and he raised his eyebrows, he said I'll check it out, he called me and said everything seems fine, my friend across the street can test it, I said OK, my truck passed! Ask Questions First – nice people BUT what they don't tell you is: 1. If there is a check engine light on they cannot pass your car, so don't let them pull your car in, as then they charge you the full amount anyway (even though they would have seen the light when they got in the car) 2. If you have a new battery, don't go in. What they don't tell you is: a new battery will not let your car pass the test either.
