I was staying at nearby hotel for Christmas 2024 visit and I had a Ventricular tachycardia cardiac arrest. dropped dead in hotel. no warning signs. I dropped to the floor unconscious, 1st tribute to my wife for jumping on my chest immediately starting CPR, while calling 911 for help. The EMS came in minutes and the Hospital had 5 Drs of all specialties at my side in minutes. my life was in their hands literally with minutes to spare before death or brain damage. They took amazing care of my partner after a sudden injury late in the evening. Everyone from the intake staff to the doctors was fast, courteous, and professional. It's obviously no fun to have to go the ER but if you have to go somewhere, you'll be in good hands here.

Honestly, I can't thank the staff at CPMC ER enough for the quality of care that was provided. I went two times in two days for two different causes, and Dr. Kumamoto, and Dr. Wagner, both provided extremely empathetic, and effective care. I know the US healthcare system is f'd and I was afraid to even go in because I am afraid to look at the bill, but between them and the several nurses whose names I wish I could remember, who came in just to talk to me because it was so clear my mental state was so bad, I know that no matt... read more
