California derringer James curtin, my father and the owner of California derringer passed away unexpectedly. He was a stand up Guy and was not a scam. All refunds have been addressed and the person who wrote the negative post below doesn't know anything about how this business was run. Tarnishing a good mans name and business with a faulce post is just bad form. Shame on you!
Jim I'm with Elite Armory and we sat right behind Jim at every Vallejo Gun Show for the past year or two. We are VERY SORRY to hear this terrible news. He was a great guy, super funny with new stories at every show, honest and a stand up guy! We just got done with the Vallejo show and was wondering where he was, I came home to look for him on the internet and am shoked and sad to find this out. Condolences to his family and friends...
Great gun purchace I bought my first .45 from Jim, he was very helpful and gave me a great price! Will be going to California Derringer for all my gun needs in the future.
Fraud scam business Be very precautious and extremely aware when doing business with these gun shops as James Curtin has taken my deposit money and other customers and ran away , he has never returned your phones/faxes/e-mails and just disappeared after taking your money. When you ever came to the store, James Curtin has never been there and the guy from Krausewerk Collectibles does not know any things about his absence nor his sickness nor his wheresabout. I had tried to come in to the shop several times to pick this up but we missed each other each time for various reasons.
