If you want the best Dr. Ball is the only way to go. I had a medtronic stimulater put in in August 2025 by another surgeon. After 3 months of trying medtronic could not even get it programed. I had to use pills again that I hate and because there addiction if used. They just dropped me no support or follow up at all I was left screwed over. Was told I need a doctor who was a specialist in this field. So I got a hold of Dr. Ball. He did scans x-rays then gave me his diagnosis. Set up surgery and changed the paddles, wires as ... read more

I have been dealing with lower back pain for 20 plus years. I decided to leave the valley and go see Dr. Ball. Dr. Ball was very straight forward and told me what he needed to do to fix my problems. I had 2 herniated discs L4-L5 and L5-S1. I had surgery in February. Woke up from surgery with 90 percent of my pain and numbness gone. I am 7 weeks post surgery and starting physical therapy. I feel like a new person and it's all thanks to Dr. Ball. I wish I would of saw him years ago. Great Doctor!

Dr. Ball did a back surgery back in 2011 for me. I had injured my back working for a moving company. I damaged my l four and five, which had to be fused together. We set down together and came out with a decision that worked very well for me. It was a new procedure that just came out called cage. Where they replaced the damaged disk foot in a piece that looked like a small cage and regrow the bone. Trust me, this is the go to doctor very trustworthy and I wouldn't have had it any other way. So once again, Thank you Dr. Ball

I had lumbar decompression surgery for spinal stenosis about 6 months ago. My experience with Dr. Ball and his team has been positive overall. The pre-op discussions were clear, and the procedure was explained in detail so I understood the risks and expectations. The surgery went smoothly, and my nerve pain symptoms improved significantly. One thing worth mentioning was that the surgery took an hour longer than originally planned. Dr Ball told me that after he opened up my back, he discovered additional blockage at L2-3 leve... read more

In 2018 I suffered a fractured C5 and herniated C4 & C6 while at work. After years of continuing to work and seek the best medical advice as possible, I came to the conclusion that I could not avoid surgery any longer. Prior to visiting Dr. Ball I saw two other highly rated surgeons in the East Bay, Dr. Ball made me feel the most comfortable out of all of them. I had my surgery in August of 2025 at San Ramon Regional Hospital, everyone at that facility from the admitting people to the Nurses and other MD's I dealt with all m... read more
