We love our new closet space and would recommend California Closets. The reason for the 4 and not 5 is because I ordered the new closet with the same design and size as my old one, however, the shelves are two inches smaller than the old closet which makes a big difference in the amount of shoes and size of bins you can place in that space. I am a long-term customer. I love the product. I have always had a great experience, but this time there were some issues. But I must say the manager got involved and quickly rectified the problems. The designer had excellent designs for three of my closets. But the installations did not go well. They were hung at the wrong height, and also there was damage to the wall behind the closet because of an improper installation. In addition, my pantry shelving unit was not as I had requested. Overall I’m ok with the product, although price for value is a bit on the high side as this cabinet wall I purchased is not much different then ikea. However, I’m disappointed with the service. From purchase to completed installation took about 6 months. This was partly because of production capacity, but also poor first quality of materials and design. I recently finished a remodel of a family home and decided that for the first time in my life I would have my closet designed. I, of course, knew about California Closets but presumed I could not afford their designs. I called three companies and received bids from each of them.
