RecommendedLargest ghost town I have ever been to. I recommend the mining tour (walking down deep into the mines), the train one is only on the outside you don’t get that feeling of being underground with dark tunnels and small passages. Stopped there for corn dog and onion rings (deliciously greasy big owns freshly made). Bathrooms are clean and plenty of parking, retail employees very helpful and friendly except at the candy store...the attendant was more interested on her cell phone call about personal gossiping than taking care of ... read more

Historic site, a former mining town. A pity that it was really windy when we visited but L T showed us around the wonky house, what a laugh. Watch out for the baby rattlers 😀
I really enjoyed calico ghost town! I would plan on spending probably six hours there in order to take advantage of all the things that there are to do!
