Although I ultimately rented from an agent from another firm, I was truly impressed by the energy and diligence of my Caliber agent (Shawn Wovnach). Even though I missed our first appointment, he rescheduled and we spent the better part of two days looking at apartments he found- a couple on the West Side, and half a dozen on the East Side. We walked from the eastern end of Manhattan all the way to Sixth Avenue, and throughout the 30s. He was also very good about paying attention to my (sometimes idiosyncratic) criteria.
I was looking for an apartment in Midtown and I'm happy I had a chance to work with Caliber Associates. After responding to their Craigslist posting I was contacted by Samuel and was able to see the apartment the same day. I really liked the apartment however wanted to see a few other options which Samuel had available. After seeing 2 more apartments I decided to go with the first place. Though there are some good reputable agents who work for Caliber, it is my experience that their ads are the most untruthful of any agency. They list apartments that when you call "are no longer available"...but those apartments are always so much better than the rest of the market. The ads are full of untruths. The apartments listed are not actually available and definitely not available for the price listed. They have NO credibility!
They are sucks. Too bad service&aftercare.
The brokers that work for this company are nothing short of scum bags.I delt with a few and each one lied about something, the apartments they showed were sometimes already taken and then they would waste time showing apartments that were no where near what I was looking for. Furthermore, not only are there ads dishonest, but I had one broker lie to me about multiple things and when going to sign the lease dropped it on the spot then went on to tell me that if i didn't sign the lease that day they were going to five it to so... read more
