I purchased a CALHOME solid wood sliding barn door for $1,049.99. Within a relatively short period of normal residential use, the door began developing cracks along the wood joints. Initially, I was offered a $200 partial refund. I accepted it under the assumption that the cracking was cosmetic and would stabilize. I love my Barn doors I've had them for three year's now no issues with cracking or nothing like the other reviewers mentioned the only issue was a Installation person Lowe's sent to install he did a AWFUL job he literally use thumb tack nails instead of a wood screw luckily for me and my Husband they didn't fall on us and I had these put in three bedrooms. Buyer beware! They do not honor their warranties, you cannot install a storm door to any of their exterior door slabs or it voids their warranty (in what world?), and take a ridiculous amount of time to give you bad news while pretending that they are going to handle your issue. Spend your money elsewhere, or you’re better off just throwing it out the window on your commute to work.
Trash products. Poor service. doors arrive as a pile of boards you have to fully assemble, with mismatched cuts and poor instructions. Barn doors were heavily warped, damaged, and inconsistent colors. The replacement "Parts" (more boards) were the wrong color all together, and their solution was "we can send you some stain so you can do it yourself" The replacement door was also horribly warped and mismatched color. I would not purchase from them again, nor will I install any of their products for my customers in the future.... read more
