Recommendedhad a stop there in 2011 during my honeymoon, travelling from South to North along the West Coast. I had no space in my bag to grab all the old school decks I would ... but I didn't miss a Powell Peralta t-shirt 😉. Huge selection of everything a skate addicted will love ....high recommended !!!!
Donovan Rice is pure class! He will ask you a million questions just to get your board dialed in right! Came in for some old skool Rat 🐀 Bones 🦴 but left with some sic Acid wheels because Donovan thought they would be a better fit for my OG old guy cruising sensibilities. He was 110% spot on! I've been getting my skateboards and parts from CalSk8 since when I first moved over here from Australia in the year 2000. It is the real deal. And very rad. They've got everything you need, and nothing you don't.
Took my seven year old there today to get his first board, the staff was awesome took the time to help us find just the right set up and answered all his questions.. highly recommend this shop. You guys went above and beyond today thank you..
I took my daughter to get a board and helmet for her 15th birthday and the customer service was excellent!! 😀😀
We visited Cal Skate shop to buy a new board for my son while we were visiting Portland. The two guys working there were amazing, so helpful and informative and patient with my son. They made him feel so mature and welcome and he was thrilled with his purchase. I highly recommend this place!
Out first time here. Went above and beyond with explaining the different sizes and types of boards, trucks, wheels, etc. They know their stuff!! They were also very patient in letting us stand on the board to determine what we wanted and didn’t pressure us to buy anything. 10/10

awesome place! staff were super helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the product they are selling. super nostalgic feel. I could not have been more pleased! I picked up a whole new setup today and I absolutely love it! thanks guys, you will be seeing me again!
