I stayed at 351 Draper Street, otherwise known as "The Cottages", for two months. I recently vacated the premises and left my room and the property in excellent condition. Despite this, Carol has so far refused to return my $400 security deposit. It has now been over two weeks since I moved out, and I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory explanation regarding the return of these funds. I don't recommend going through Cairns sharehouse, I'll be taking them to Fair trading over this
Terrible management. I lived there for 2 months and had a very bad experience. It’s been over a month and they still haven’t returned my security deposit. They don’t answer calls, they don’t give any valid explanations. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I have been patient and respectful; my friends and I have called to find out what’s happening with our money and they hang up on us. It seems like to the management we’re a joke.
Awful experience, rooms are dirty and Carol was unprofessional from the beginning to the end, this place should be shut down, they still owe me $700 and never answered after promised a payback I beg you don’t be a fool like me and avoid this place at any cost
Horrible place, they ignored me after asking for my money back because they don’t tell you that you don’t have to pay for the two last weeks, when I asked the refund they stop answering Keep your money or spend it somewhere else for your own safety Also cockroach everywhere, 100% my worst experience in Australia in 2years Stay far from this place
