I had my ACL reconstruction at Cairns private hospital, and I can’t thank the staff enough. Everyone was so kind and constantly checking up on me the entire time. What could’ve been a really stressful experience was made so much easier thanks to their care and attentiveness . A big thank you to all the Cairns private hospital staff. If you’re ever at Cairns private hospital, know you’ll be in very good hands.
I have just spent 2 night in the surgical ward and cannot fault the nurses, doctors and staff. They have all been wonderful and caring.
It is one of the hospital where I noticed that patients are not looked after according to the policies and guidelines. The private dialysis unit has manager with limited knowledge and not deliver appropriate care to the patients.
I was self funded for bilateral knee replacement begining of july with only 4 days stay covered as assumed that's all I would need but unfortunately things didn't go to plan and 1 nurse went above and beyond to ensure I was able to transfer to the public hospital. The care I recieved from all staff was amazing the only downside for me was that the kitchen was being renovated and every time I recieved my meal it was cold the nurses happily heated it up for me if they could but otherwise I went without as I can't eat hot food ... read more
Very recently I spent 4 nights as a self funded patient for a total hip replacement. While I have no complaints with the face to face care and attention I received....I checked out feeling gutted... personal items from my hand bag had been stolen during my stay.. sunglasses and gold jewellery normally worn always..on arrival in the pre op unit I switched off my phone and all my persal items were secured in a zipped pocket.of my hand bag.
