We stopped in fairly early in the day (8am, they open at 7) for a vegetarian breakfast sandwich and and espresso (Americano). Both were very good. Service was friendly and there were many tables available in the very spacious cafe area. (Tables available outdoors too.) They had a wide variety of baked goods from Mount Bakery on display (maybe even more than I typically see at the actual Mount Bakery!). We are thinking about moving to Bellingham and this place may tip the scales… the red pepper tomato soup is truly life changing. We got a cup to eat, and then ordered two more bowls to go. Soy latte was very nice, pastry was also tasty! Good vibes
GREAT VALUE AND RARE QUALITY. Professional. Friendly. Coffee. Talented baristas that take pride in work. Best cappuccino in town. By far. Authentic Italian. Porcelain cups. Place is clean. Bathrooms clean. Nice neighborhood feel. For a dopio cappuccino and a fine flaky blackberry danish it cost me $10 which included a$1.50 tip.

Caffe Adagio is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Bellingham! The folks who work there are so friendly and fun to chat with, seeing them brightens up my day :-) Their soups are truly some of the best I’ve ever had and are made with fresh ingredients from their family farm.
