Best Thai food! – We have tried our share of thai restaurants, but once we tried cafe Talesai, we stopped going anywhere else. Dine in, take out, or delivery, you name it the food is amazing! We are addicted to the lettuce wraps, jungle curry, and pad see ew- mmmmmmmmmmm. I can't wait to go back, in fact, I think we will order in tonight!

probably the best Thai Ive had this side of the pacific – Probably the best Thai I've had this side of the pacific. I fancy myself a foodie of sorts (I've actually been to Thailand several times) and I can honestly say, this is the real deal. My faves were the jungle curry, hidden treasures and the crispy sea bass. The people here are really nice and the atmosphere is pretty good for dates.

Yummy Thai – Wow I tried this place & let me tell you it was a treat to my palate. Try their hidden treasures dish, it is delish. As for the jungle curry Mmmmmmmm I could be addicted (good thing they deliver too). I would be happy to be brought on a date here which says a lot because I am picky!!. The decor is minimalistic and clean & the service friendly and genuine.Overall I highly recommend checking this place out.

Thai flavors and funky, cool surroundings make a fresh local spot. – In Short This fun and casual, yet elegant joint in Beverly Hills mixes Thai sculpture with funky art. Blond wood, glass walls, warm lighting and upbeat music add to the comfy feel. Entrees include crispy crab wontons and a green papaya salad shot through with a lime-chili kick. For mains, pick from beef stir fried with red chili and lime, a jungle curry infused with coconut, or the very popular broiled eel with fried basil leaves.

Somebody Beat Me To It – I logged on to write about how absurdly overpriced this restaurant is, and how small the portions are. I ordered a curry dish that was about $15 and they charged me an extra $1 for rice. Give me a break. Save your money and your time. I give it an F. I can't think of a thing that it did well. There are ten superior restaurants within a square mile of this place. Just go to Beverly Drive.

Great Food...tiny portions....horribly overpriced – With poor service, my wife and I spent over $100 on two vegetarian appetizers, two vegetarian entrees and two beers and we left hungry. The food and quality of the ingredients are definitely on the high end, as are the prices for what you get. The food is standard Thai fare on an oversized, stylish plate but our portions were half of what you'd get at a typical Thai restaurant. The servers brought our apps and entrees at the same time then rushed us out of the restaurant as... read more

Great Food...Snotty Servers – I hate to give a bad review to this restaurant because the food was great. I've been there twice, and the food is some of the best Thai food to be found in LA. It's authentic, fresh, and well prepared. However, it seems that if you are not all dressed up and looking to spend big bucks on wine and multiple courses, the staff is not so interested in talking to you. Our server literally spoke one sentence to us the entire night, and the rest of the time we got the cold shoulder and poor service. Me... read more

great food/ambiance w/out LA attitude – I've struggled to find great food in the mid price range since moving to LA, and Cafe Talesai filled that void for me. While the service was a little slow (only had two waitstaff for the entire room), they were friendly, accomodating, and the food was tasty. It is a small place so I would reccomend making reservations if you dont want to wait, but you can call an hour before to give them your name.

Best Thai Food Around – This place uses the highest quality meats, vegetables, and spices - and it blatantly shows. The quality of the food is unparalled, the taste of the dishes perfection. Chefs here capture skillfully the 5 essential flavors of traditional Thai cooking - salty, sweet, sour, spicy, & intense. Service is friendly and forthcoming on choice advice. Try the Hidden Treasures, Fresh Crab Pad Thai, Chicken Yellow Curry, Thai Dim Sum, Corn Fritters, & Garlic Sauteed Green Beans. Will definitely be a favorite on yo... read more
