We love the food, the atmosphere and the service.
I am looking for a friend I met in Eugene one night back in 2003 or so (I think his name was Chad, perhaps not - I know that’s not a lot of help)... He was a chef at the time at Soriah. He had just moved from Portland where he had gone to Le Cordon Bleu (he cooked me the best chili ever that evening!). If this guy sounds familiar, message me! Thanks Soriah!
The ravioli special was spectacular!
Way too busy and they only had one of their dinning rooms open? They compacted us all in this tiny space instead of opening up the larger dining room. Food took forever, it was extremely loud/crowded, and when we got our food it was very disappointing.
The food was very good. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is lacking. There are tablecloths which passes for atmosphere in Eugene, but if you are into beauty this is not your town.
I have enjoyed many lovely dinners and cocktails with friends over the years here, plus a couple memorable New Year’s Eve celebrations! It was also where my husband and I had our first official date ten years ago. Chef Ib is such a beloved member of the community and food scene. Our most recent date night there was no exception in excellent service, great wine selection, and exquisitely prepared food. Its always been tasty and amazing dining here at Soriah:) I recommend it for bdays, most holiday celebrations, dates, and even just casual dining!
