The best (American) Mexican food around. It's cafe style, meaning you get through the line quickly. The Pork Barbacoa burrito or Salad are the best!
Pork Burrito flavorful but extremely skimpy on the amount of meat, rice and black beans that they put on it. We have eaten at Cafe Rio on and off for several years. Sometimes you get an ok amount of meat etc, but more than not it is NOT WORTH THE PRICE! We even took take-out the last time and weighed it on our kitchen scale! Quaint gluten free cafe where there aren't any others. Good baked goods, I like they have coconut milk, stevia, agave and other alternative forms of staples I love. The waffles are a big hit-cannot believe gluten free. Good to stop in and pick up breakfast!
horrid customer service – Although the food at Cafe Rio may be good. The service at the draper location is horrid. We have tried take out on many occasions and there is always something wrong with the order, salad without salad dressing, missing but paid for extras, etc.. Would agree with "mshupe", on an attempt to call and get it fixed they were not willing to be helpful and were very argumentative. Stay Far, Far Away! – We have frequented both the Draper and American Fork Locations. The Draper location has NEVER gotten our order right and became very argumentative this last time when we asked them to make things right. When we arrived home to find we were short an entire meal for our son, we called this location who could not even find our order. Love the Sweet Pork – I have always loved this place. Love the sweet pork burritos or enchiladas. This place has a great, fast, and friendly crew. But I heat how crowded an noisy it is.
eXtra CHEESE! Shout it loud! – This is probably the best fast food Mexican joint we have in Vegas. If you're hungry enough, I guarantee you will salivate while they make your order fresh right in front of you! Watch out when you order extra cheese! The guys or girls shout out "EXTRA CHEESE" as loudly as they can to both co-workers and patrons... If they sold Mexican Beer at this joint---I would eat here every night...great tacos. burritos and salads....exceptional!
Never order online/phone and triple check your to-go bags – (Sorry- this was for the Hunter location- just noticed the wrong address) I like the food-when I actually get what I ordered. My work is just up the street and a number of us are fans of the food. For a while, we were ordering 2-4 times a week with one of us going and picking up the food.
