Llegué con mi familia a pasar un rato agradable y la persona que me atendió me sirvió los alimentos de mala manera apenas miro que yo era latino me tomó la orden grosero y pedí una enchiladas en mi orden y le pedí que pusiera carne y puso frijoles y arroz y así mismo sirvió los alimentos para mi familia siempre me a gustado los alimentos de este restaurante pero últimamente las personas que trabajan allí no prestan un buen servicio a los clientes

I was halfway through my salad and thought, you know, I need to write this Cafe Rio a review. I was surprised to see the lower reviews and they motivated me to do it. I grew up in Southern CA where the Cafe Rio had mexican ladies making fresh tortillas at the start of the line. The pinnacle of Cafe Rios if you will. Well. It was an experience I won’t forget. Allow me to set the stage. I, a Cafe Rio stan, came to this establishment (my first visit to this location) at approximately 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The building was empty. That was my first sign. The first thing I walked past was the soda machine, which had an off-putting odor—like morning breath on your child after they told you they brushed their teeth but now you’re certain they lied—and the agua frescas looked decidedly NOT FRESCA. They upcharge a $1 extra for everything. When you are out of the most popular mild sauce and someone orders a burrito, it would be nice to tell them up front. I also ordered a salad and was uncharged $1 for cheese! Since they were out of mild sauce I asked for tomatillo ranch, aka house dressing, for my burrito and was told “they couldn’t put it on there” but could charge me extra. This is the second time I’ve ordered online and my food is not ready. I asked it to be ready at 10:30. The window is from 10:30-10:40, however when I got there they hadn’t even started it at 10:40. They just opened and were out of pinto beans and mild sauce. How does that even happen?!? Do they need to get there earlier so stuff is actually ready when they get there?? I have a very short window for my lunch time so I will never be ordering ahead of time because they NEVER have it ready on time.
