Today I went to Cafe Rio Mexican Grill. And my burrito that cost me $13.25… 3 weeks ago, cost $17.70 today. I asked the workers if they recently got a raise or something. Surly Cafe Rio is raising their prices so they can compensate their employees better right? Nope. They all make minimum wage. My burrito was noticeably worse too. They were out of black beans, red sauce & chips…. So. Service was worse. Food was worse, and the price was higher. But…. Hey…. An employee dropped a whisk on the floor, looked around to see if anyone noticed, rinsed it, and hung it with the clean utensils. We told the manager, who did address it. Thirty minutes later, a different employee was jumping to reach ladles stored above their head, knocking them down and catching them. They dropped one on the floor, rinsed it off, and placed it in an empty food bin meant for the next day's food. Two separate incidents in half an hour, from two different people.
