Every time my thirty-something kids come to town they have to go to Cafe Nola. I guess it is hip or something. All I know is that I like their martinis.

Best Vegetarian/Local/Organic Food in Frederick! – Ok, so I just moved to Frederick from Portland OR, which if you know anything about Portland you'll know that we LOVE our local food and expect it everywhere! But so far, I hadn't seen too much in that vein, although Frederick has a lot of great restaurants. So when I found little Cafe Nola, I was really really happy to see that there was a place with food grown locally and organically. I asked the waitress and she told me that most of the food is grown on a farm in Mt. Airy... read more

Lovely addition to downtown! We popped in Cafe Nola with some friends after a gathering at the library. We all had kids and strollers with us, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was PLENTY of room for us, our kids and our strollers! Although it is VERY nicely decorated in a comfortable, but upscale motif, they didn't seem to mind the children being there, and the owner greeted us and asked us to please come back.

great at night OR during the day! We first started going to Nola at night during bar hour, and really loved this place. The place is so laid back and low key, you can hear yourself talk. A great place to meet friends to talk and unwind. Great beer selection too. They carry a few organic german beers which are amazing. A few months later I decided to stop in for lunch, and was just as pleased as I had been during our late night visits. The sandwiches are MASSIVE, tasty, healthy, and very reasonably priced, as is the coffee. T... read more

Food AND atmosphere! Cafe Nola- A couple of friends and I popped in there for lunch. It's located on E. Patrick St, across the street from Tajitu (Ethiopian restaurant) and near the library. The food we ordered was delicious and fairly reasonably priced
