Good food. – The food is very good and reasonably priced. The outside eating area is set up nicely. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good food and atmosphere, so so price – I had the Veal Picatta, which was excellent, and my date seemed to enjoy the pasta of the day, which was some sort of seafood combination. The setting is beautiful, but the people in the restaurant were noisy. Other than that, nothing to complain about but the price tag, which is steep for a college student.

Customer is always right – I ordered a steak medium rare and the server brought out a raw piece of meat that had been "pre-seared" the meat was not even warm and bloody inside. When I finally caught the server, he did not apologize but simply said "give me a second on that." He brought out my steak, in two pieces now, again raw in the middle and a little warmer on the outside. I complained and he lectured me about what a medium rare steak is infront of the 6 people at my table. I will never again dine at Napoli because even ... read more

Deee-licious – There was little room to loiter inside on a cold and rainy evening in January because the bar/dining area was full of patrons. When we were seated, we were greeted and given the daily specials, which all sounded wonderful. However, at a mid-scale Italian restaurant, it's always a good idea to get the Veal Parmigiana. It was nothing less than delightful. My date had the tortellini, also very good.

Clayton's take on Southern Italian. – What you'll find The restaurant offers radiant Southern Italian dishes that showcase simple preparation and presentation of fresh, seasonal ingredients. The salads and antipasti are among the best examples of this culinary philosophy. Food Pasta is cooked al dente then tossed with sauce in the authentic Italian style. Portion sizes are titanic, so you might want to ask for half of your order to be wrapped in the kitchen, even before it's delivered to your table. The menu offers chicken, ... read more

Wine Room Partier – The best restaurant for upscale-casual dining. For a group of 6-10, the wine room is a very entertaining time. The food is top-notch and authentically Italian....Thoroughly enjoy the entire experience each and every time we dine at "Napoli".

14 years and still great stuff – I have been dining at Cafe Napoli since I was roughly 16. Now that I'm 30, and no longer live in Stl, I always make it a point to stop by there when Im in town. The owner(and his family) always makes me and my guest feel at home and the food is always great. I live in NY now, and the plethera of Italian restaurants is at my beckon and call, to have a restaurant like this stand out, year after year is something to be noted. This is a great place!

Overrated – We headed to Cafe Napoli expecting a romantic evening, trendy atmosphere and exciting food. Our pasta dishes were pretty good, but our appetizer (artichokes) had almost no taste except for the salty canned broth that was dumped all over them. The crowd was more phony and pretentious than trendy, and the patio was less than romantic. The prices aren't bad for clayton, but better italian food can easily be found in STL for less. Overall, we were disappointed and do not plan on returning.
