I feel horribly deceived by a 4.5 rating. The food was terrible and expensive. It may have been nice for the server to tell me that the pizza tastes like thawed cardboard or that there are better options for someone who is rarely able to treat the kids. But my patience at the restaurant is now juxtaposed by my unsatisfied frustration coming home hungry. If my kids weren't will me I would have walked out. I have been here on multiple occasions; and the service has been consistently above par. The food is always very good and satisfying. An order mishap with the Turkey Club was pointed out to the server. She responded with genuine accountability and corrected the order without issue. Thank you!!
Such a reliable and comfortable place. I can’t tell you how many times my family‘s been starving and kids fighting with each other and then Cafe Manhattan has saved the day. The food is also of the highest quality with many things made in house or supplied by other St. Louis institutions. In case the owners are reading this, we’re a big fan of the switch back to the crinkle fries, but I don’t like the new onion rings and would rather you go back to the cornmeal breaded ones.
