This restaurant around the corner from the Museum of Natural History presents the breadth of cuisine from every region throughout Mexico. As any New Yorker may tell you that it is sometimes hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in Manhattan, this spot is the anomaly to find. From the seafront fare of Veracruz to the exotic region of Oaxaca, you will surely find something that suits your palate. The prices may be a bit above the norm, however the ingredients are always top-notch, and this merits the dent on the wallet.

We could have enjoyed a great bottle of wine instead. We were vocally horrified when the bill arrived with a line item for $85. We relayed our distaste at the table and the following day over the phone. The manager justified the... read more
Fit Right In at Fridas This is my favorite neighborhood hangout when I'm working in the City. The guacamole alone is worth the price of admission. They make the best margaritas. Come for Brunch on Sunday. It's so much more than tacos and frijoles.
Best guacamole ever This place has the best guacamole in the city. They make it tableside so you can choose which ingredients to leave out (like cilantro--which I hate), and also hot hot you want it. They mix it all up in a large stone bowl which you can then dig it right out of with yummy tortilla chips. The margaritas are great too.
great food Great food and a great atmosphere, what more can you ask for. If thats not enough, they have a courtious and friendly waitstaff and the prices are reasonable. You will have a great time.
