Yes, it's overrated, but for $5 pp, it's still a must-stop for anyone visiting the crescent city! Be prepared to wait in line for either take out or seating. :-)

A most go to when visiting New Orleans. Beignets with Chicory Coffee is an amazing treat
The line outside the front (see photo) is misleading. That is just a line of people looking for tables to sit. Once seated a waiter will come to serve you. There's another line 4 takeout in back.
Beignets and coffee is very good. Open 24 hours.
Classic place to get a coffee and beignets.
