Best Place in Town for a Date The atmosphere is amazing in this old house and the food and service follow suite. The wine list is extensive as is the reserve list. If you are not familiar with Italian wines, ask the bartender for help, he is also the wine rep. that sells the cafe it's wine. Dinner with wine can be pricey, but it is well worth it.
Best Italian Food in Des Moines – My wife and I stopped by last Friday night and sat at the bar. I had the eggplant appetizer and the polenta appetizer. My wife had a pizza. The food, as always, was excellent. The menu is well-chosen and the wine list has the best selection of Italian wines in central Iowa. Definitely worth a visit ... a top five restaurant in DM.
