New Year’s Eve dinner at Cafe de Bangkok was AWFUL. Made reservations for an early dinner, 5:30.....6:15 and still no dinner. Appetizers came out at different times....calamari cold and rubbery. Talked to server and owner/manager, both too busy with take out orders to feed diners in a timely fashion. Server totally forgot us and our order....manager finally got our food...chicken in Pad Thai like leather. Not the same since they went under new management. the sushi isn't good, the main courses are more salt, less taste and less on the plate. the Tia iced tea isn't even the same. use to love this place now it's just horrible, won't be coming back
My hubby and I went to dinner Saturday night.Wait staff is new,place inside looks clean and redone.Still a progress in work.We started our meal with a drink.My wine was flat the Thai tea came out in a cup that looked liked it came form the other restaurant that use to be in front.We ordered the Combo Combo always a good appetizer.It wasn't good.The only part that wasn't over cooked was the chicken drumsticks.My hubby ordered the Gai Nam Prik Pao.It was chicken shaped meatballs. Unbelievable !!! Eaten there in the past..before the remodel...they no longer answer the phone !!! If you can get through and place an order..?? I ordered take out... vegetable tempura, worst I have EVER had, cold, no coating 1 burnt onion, 2 dead eggplant.2 pieces of carrot... chicken satay was cold right from the kitchen !!! Tried to call back to let them know....several more times..no luck...they just lost a customer..If you want excellent Thai...Sweet Chilli at the airport...best around !!! Consistently excellent...
Was always my favorite restaurant to eat at. Last time I was so disappointed as well as my husband. He actually took the food to go and then threw it out. I guess I need a new favorite place to go.
