overpriced The food at Cafe Atchafalaya is certainly overpriced and overrated. They do offer a good selection of classic New Orleans food but the same dishes can be found at other restaurants for lower prices. The fried green tomatoes were okay but the same appetizer can be found at Austin's in Metairie and its twice as good for half the price. If you're a big spender the atmosphere makes for a good romantic dinner but I would not recommend this restaurant for any other occasion.
Atchafayala Classic New Orleans food here. Fried green tomatoes are absolutely outstanding here. Fantastic shrimp dishes and of course a killer Po Boy. Great creole choices.
