To high priced for and a pool that doesn't work
The rooms have been adequately updated. But the website shows the lovely indoor pool and the tiki bar outside. We arrived and discovered the pool was closed and there is no longer a tiki bar. How can they charge what they do when they are advertising false amenities??
Disgusting place all around. Hotel common areas smell awful, rooms are dingy, the staff are nonexistent. There are signs everywhere saying sorry for various inconveniences which is about all this place has to offer. The first day a child claiming to be the managers kid was running amuck and asking to come into our room. The second day we ran out of towels (2) and when asked for more there was “none and no housekeeping”. When asked what we should do with no towels we were hung up on.
We have stayed here on our way north for the last 6 summers. We were concerned with the foundation of the southeast building last year but it was still a nice place to be with friendly staff, clean facilities, and plenty of amenities. We were so disappointed/sad to see the state of this once beautiful property today. Everything other recent reviewers have said about sketchy guests, absent staff, and lack of upkeep is true and the hotel’s advertising of amenities, breakfast, etc is false. We will not be back.
