We recently rented a canoe and kayak from them. We also had two personal canoes. When we went to the pick up spot they practically held us ransom. The office did not inform us that we wouldn't be able to get our personal canoes off of the river because of private land rights. Instead of politely informing us of the situation they were extremely rude. We finally were allowed to pay them to haul the canoes for us after many phone calls and harsh tones. When we are informed that there are private boats in the party, we always explain that Baker Rock is privately owned (not by us) and it is not a free public access point. We then offer to provide shuttle services for you and explain the fees. We are required to follow the land owners rules. Ok so definitely wear water shoes cause the rocks hurt and when your super active 12 year old looses her float and you gotta give yours up....there is going to be pain! Other than that we had a great time!
Super fun, Extremely friendly Staff at rental office, our shuttle driver was great and Rue the dog was the best!!!!! Beaumont Texas .
Had a great time! Water was really low but still fun just slow going. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a tube float.
Had a great week! Everyone was really nice and helpful and the cabin was beautiful! Can't wait to go back!
