I'm a local Maplewoodian--my entire life--and I have never been disappointed with Cactus Charly. Their food is excellent, as well as the presentation of it; the atmosphere is colorful, and the service has been great. Last night was one of the best meals that I have had, as well as everyone in my party. Our waiter was charming and handled our table with style and smiles. This place was recommended to me recently. After looking at recent reviews, I was reluctant to try. I did anyway and was very disappointed. Ordered a grilled chicken taco salad. Basic. There was nothing grilled about it. It was pale white, chewy chicken over a minimal amount of salad with sour cream and what seemed to be Italian dressing on the side. 🤔 Will not be returning to this place!
Delicious food, authentic flavor, excellent service, big portions. What more can you ask for in a restaurant. Our go-to mexican restaurant from now on!
