Fun Food and Atmosphere We were attending a girl's conference in Nashville and the hotel attendant recommended this spot! The parking around the restaurant is really limited but we did find on street parking. The restaurants looked small on the outside but we were suprised to see how much more restaurant there really was. We were escorted to our seats pass the cabanas to an open area at the rear of the restaurant. The area had a roof the retracted in the evening and faced the main street. Cabana's Food & Folkes This is a great restaurant with wonderful southern hospitality! The atmosphere was pleasant and there are some great food combinations. I had pork chops over grits. And i really like the corn muffins that were served along with my dish. The parking is a bit tight around the area because of the nearby colleges and universities. We went just before night crowd started to pour in.
Cabana- great atmosphere, ok food Cabana has a great atmosphere and is great for special occasions. The food however is overpriced and not very good. The service is slow but the good atmosphere and "cabanas" (if you get one) make up for the long wait for service and your bill. I went there frequently but mostly for their drinks.
We had 2 reservations for 8:15 (for 2 tables since we had 9) and was told we could sit close by. When we arrived we were told they were far apart but we could sit at the bar area. We have currently been sitting here for 15 mins and have had NO ONE even walk by or ask us for a drink order. NOTHING. Bartender is a little rude as was hostess who made us feel we were an inconvenience even though we were told over the phone we could have tables near each other.
