Charles came out and was extremely professional. I felt very comfortable hiring his company as he was very knowledgeable and it is a family company. Would recommend to anyone seeking roof repairs
EDIT (6 Months After Install): Two of the leaks that existed before the re-roof have persisted. Charles is always quick to answer the phone and send his team (honoring his warranty), but unfortunately they haven't solved the actual issues. In short -- highly recommend. We called C. Johnston after suffering from sporadic leaks in our new apartment for the last 6 months. Charles, his sons, Santiago and the crew did a phenomenal job on a difficult project that involved laying down a new roof and replacing a skylight at our coop in SoHo. Much of the roof was underneath a large deck that had to be moved (and then reassembled) in order to replace the roof. After a torrential rain in the city, I had water leakage on 3 floors plus the basement. I called and received a call back the same day. I made an appointment to access the damage. They were right on time. They reviewed the situation, took pictures so I could see as they explained. The roof was waterproofed and it only took 2 hours maybe less. The were respectful and friendly. The next rain I saw no leakage. I would highly recommend this company.
We give our highest recommendation to C. Johnston and Sons for brownstone exterior and roofing work. Charles and his sons are highly professional, punctual, responsible, and responsive.
