My automatic delivery came this month and I was charged $4.55 per gallon after being charged $2.80ish this time last year. I immediately called 5 different propane delivery services in the area and their current prices were in the $2.05-$3.05 range. Petro offered no explanation and said the price is what it is. I paid my bill and am considering it a lesson learned. Unfortunately it was approximately a $420 lesson (would have saved $420 by using other supplier). Hoping I can help prevent it from happening to someone else.
I signed up for Petro Home Services a couple of months ago after being offered a fuel promotion. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication during the initial sign-up process about their automatic fuel delivery service. I wasn’t aware that Petro delivers fuel automatically unless customers request a “call first” option to authorize future deliveries. I'm on automatic delivery and I have to call my tank is down to less then 1/4 of a tank when oil prices wasn't as high as they are When I paid my bill I was getting a call to refill even though just filled it. But now no call I have to monitor my tank. Last year for this company.
DO NOT ORDER Oil from This Company. THEY LOCK YOU INTO A ONE YEAR CONTRACT AND IF YOU DECIDE TO SHOP PRICES THEY TELL YOU YOU BROKE THE CONTRACT BY BUYING OIL FROM ANOTHER COMPETITOR AND YOU OWE THEM $400.00.
