I recently contracted CG Engineering to redo a set of plans for a simple covered deck. At first, they seemed knowledgeable and confident, assuring me they could handle the full scope of work. Based on those promises, I paid a down payment and moved forward. Eventually, I received site plans and structural calculations and submitted them to the city. Throughout the entire project CG has done an absolute terrible job with communication and timeliness. Our project was delayed significantly in permitting and significantly during construction all because the engineer could not be bothered to respond to our GC's (or our) emails or phone calls. I would absolutely fire them at this point if they weren't already the engineers on record for our build. Steer clear, never work with CG.
I have used both their civil and structural services and found them to be one of the best to work with.
