I hired C F Taffe Plumbing Co. to deal with a drain fly problem, and the entire visit was a complete waste of money. In my personal experience, they charged a sky-high rate and did practically nothing. The plumber showed up, shined a flashlight down the drain, and said he “didn’t see anything.” That was the extent of the inspection. Great team! My building recommends Taffe Plumbing as they are familiar with old buildings. They have serviced my building for years. We just moved to the area a year ago and had some leak issues. Our pipes are old. They were amazing. A few issues arose during the job and they were very clear about explaining the issue and what work needed to be done, how much it would cost, etc. I know we’ll be needing them again in the near future (the joys of home owning) and now I know their amazing quality and work ethic. If you want to go for excellence, go with Taffe. They're head and shoulders above the rest. Quick to grasp the problem and bring it to resolution. Professional, pleasant, and effective. They show up, and their work stands up.
