This is a review I never expected to have to leave, but I am so grateful to the hospice staff at CC Young. My sister battled severe illness for 20 years, and when she decided to stop treatment, she made the decision to go here. From even before she was admitted, the staff (shoutout to Kim) did absolutely everything to make sure she was taken care of. She was there about a week before she passed, and the staff went above and beyond. I cannot thank them enough for caring for my sister the way that they did.
My mother has lived at CC Young in independent living for quite a few years years and my husband and I are Point Members there. We live very close and are frequently on the campus. I'd like to give a pat on the back to every single person who works there - from the Activity/social planners (Brian, Aaron (we miss you), Rebecca, and Angela, etc) to the Maintenance people (who are amazing - friendly and helpful to everyone who lives there, especially Kevin Nelson!), to the Tech Dept (who never make anyone feel embarrassed to as... read more
Facilities and staff are wonderful. Lots of varied activities every day, chef-cooked meals that are fresh, varied and nutritious, the residents are well-cared for and treated well.
I would've given 5 stars, however, when the dr doesn't send meds to the pharmacy upon discharge, and now I have to spend my morning dealing with absolute NONSENSE!! I WANT TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THAT DR!! I gave them all afternoon and evening to call in the medicatio s. This is why you do discharge with the family, not just the patient. My husband was there for memory care 12 years ago. I was there with him many many hours and I only had one complaint the 3.6 years. Staff was attentive and never ignored staff. As they were busy it sometimes took time to respond to a need but no one was ignored. Never smelled bad. Food was incredible good. I absolutely loved the evening hours nurse. I would hands down recommend.
