Honest opinion of Byron? Their buildings are older, and they're kind of cheap. Maintenance sometimes has to come out more than once to fix a problem, but they DO come out, and usually they come very quickly. I don't mind the cheap and old part, living in St. Louis it's what I'm used to. I do think maybe the buildings could be maintained a little better, but then again the rent would probably be higher. Byron does send cleaning people each week to keep up the common areas, which is nice. And I've never had any major problems ... read more
Never Rent from the Byron Company. The apartment I rented was absolutely INFESTED with bed bugs! This had been the worst experience of my rental career. My $1700 dollar European Pillow top bed (and other furniture) is completely ruined. The people in the office do seem nice, and when I notified them of this problem about a month ago they did come over and spray but it did not help. The bugs are too bad. The buildings they rent out are very old and very dirty. There are roaches in my building too. I've have seen them numerous... read more
I LOVE MY APARTMENT AND THE BYRON COMPANY! – Hi! I live in the Dogtown neighborhood on Oakland Ave. and my apartment is fantastic. I can't believe I can live across the street from the biggest park in St. Louis (Forest Park), be 2 minutes from Wash. U., Clayton, CWE, etc. AND my apartment includes all utilities for $575 a month! The Byron Co. has always been attentive, whether when my miniblinds broke or I lost my keys.
