Purchased a fern from Bynum Nursery at the State Farmers Market on Sunday. The next morning there was a foul smell in the room the plant was in. When I realized the smell was coming from the plant itself, I saw that there was a white fuzzy substance on each stem. Immediately went to Home Depot to get something to treat it. The sales person informed me that it was fungus and that the fern most likely has root rot and will probably die. I’m completely disappointed that I had been sold a sick plant. What a big waste of money!
Great place to "KEEP IT LOCAL Y'ALL".... ONLY do it from one of their several stands/locations... FARMERS MARKET is the one I know right off. I'll get the others an UPDATE shortly....
