I went to get my Uncle’s will notarized and I said we wanted to get two witnesses and we wanted the document notarized. The notary said that it was not allowed in California. She said she was a notary for 30 years and it’s illegal (I’m also a notary) and she refused to notarize the document. She said a notarized will with two witnesses could be invalidated which I know is not true.
