Never shopping with Butera/Piggl Wiggly ever again. Went on vacation for a week, came home and my Caputo's is closing - heartbroken. Especially since it was reported that the Caputo stores were staying open after the acquisition.
Just ran into the Roselle store. Took me 5 minutes to get what I needed then stood in the only checkout line open for 15 mintues. Some lady 8 people back went to the service desk and they took her right away and left the 9 other people waiting in line along with me stranded. One checkout open on a Friday morning. No wonder all the Butera's are closing. I through my cart down into the store. They just don't care about any kind of customer service. It will be nice to see this one close too.
Ok -- I live in Lindenhurst and I shop frequently at the Lindenhurst store. I firmly believe this store could benefit from customer service training. The check out operator (operator) would not make eye contact with me and she also appeared to be put out by helping me. I have had a lot of issues in the past with the employees ; no one wants to help customers -- but they sure don't mind taking your money.

So we stopped to see the new store... They had Sarah lee american cheese for $7,99 a lb and Roma tomatoes for $1,99 a lb! Are they kidding!!? I'll go and buy things here and there as I need them, things I may need on the spot, but will never do actually grocery shopping there; some things are reasonable but overall they're overpriced.
