Great Meats and Wine This store has the finest meat selection in the area. Whatever cuts of meat you may want they will have it or cut it for you. If you're a fan of aged steaks just let them know. In addition they have a selection of deli items to go. Along with the fine meat counter there is a huge wine selection to choose from. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you first visit this store.
The Butcher is on my block I can't imagine why anyone would have a tough time with this place. If you call ahead and need something, they would gladly make sure it happens. It's family owned, been around Sarasota for decades. I moved here last year almost to the day. I started going there weekly to purchase just steaks. Soon, I was getting pork chops, then chicken breasts, sausages both breakfast and Italian. Their wings are out of this world good. Ham, cheeses, and of course the best wine selection around. expectations not met I frequent the Butcher Block with purchasing prime meats, steaks and other items. I made a special trip there to purchase Christmas dinner for my family on Saturday 12/22/07 to purchase a beef tenderloin. I had asked the counter person if he had one to feed 4 to 5 people. He brings out a tenderloin that was close to 5. 5 lbs enough to feed 8 people. I had asked him if he had anything smaller that it was just to big. He said if I trim and tie it it would be a little less weight, but thats not what I wante... read more
