Both my father (88 Yamaha V-MAX) and myself (87 Yamaha FJ 1200) have taken our bikes to him and he did a great job getting them going again, wouldnt take our classic bikes to anyone else because I just cant trust them. My father had taken his bike to stadium yamaha and they will give you the run around and try to charge you \$5000.00, that right \$5000.00 for a carb job because they think they needed to fix things on the bike that are working fine. Elmer has been doing GREAT work since I met him in the late 70s while working at Carters Yamaha. He is honest and fair and knows more about most motorcycles that anybody around DFW. Lcren11

Good work. Engine rebuild for my Vespa ended up being \$100 LESS than he quoted. However, later that day my clutch cables came loose and I was stuck in 1st gear. A friend came and adjusted them and said the shop probably didnt know how super tight the Vespa cables needed to be.

Never returns calls and seems to be arrogant in his responses. Also if you ask questions on payment and cost he gets irrate. Very poor service and even his shop looks like a storage unit! Be careful taking your precious bike to this guy.

Took a Victory V92c to Elmer and even though he said he did not work on Victory cycles, I gave him the book with the bike and he solved major as well as minor problems. I trust him to do a good job at a fair price, because that has been my history with him.
