I typically love Burton's Total Pet stores. Recently at the North Huntingdon, PA location, I have felt like I'm not allowed to view and interact with the guinea pigs that have an open habitat that allow people to reach in and pet them. I have never had a problem going in and petting guinea pigs until recently when the only same employee was interrupting me and my family viewing the animals whilst considering getting one. Friendly and incredibly knowledgeable staff. Each person seems to have their own specialty. I also noticed that their animals seem to be properly cared for which is a relief after visiting other pet stores in the Greensburg area. To date I have had only positive experiences at THIS location.
My daughter and I went to the Greensburg store today (Sunday afternoon) and stood there for nearly 30 minutes waiting to be acknowledged so we could see a guinea pig. Mind you, we were the only customers in the store. Both employees walked by us numerous times and never even acknowledged we were there. I returned the items we were going to buy and left. Very disappointed.
I liked the store but I forgot to look at your fish so will have to come back again. LOL
