Playa De Carmen in Sarasota ... A hidden Gem – This has to be the best and most authentic Mexican food in Sarasota. I've tried, two senoritas, mi pueblo, el toro, and the franchise garbage and non of these have the taste of authentic Mexican food. This is not a fast food place at all. I though it was for several years, but after my visit confirmed that it's really a cantina type restaurant. For starters the ambience is like Play De Carmen, the food is all made fresh and cooked in house. My steak was cooked on the grill as I waited. ButterFlee is doing competitive bashing – Salsa is made fresh as is all of the food at Burritos, unlike some other mexican restaurants that claim to make food fresh when they buy it preseasoned and cooked. Every restaurant uses a microwave or steamer for some of their items - such a queso in this restaurant. Burritos was established in 1995 and has continued business by satisfying patrons that know authentic Mexican food that's prepared from scratch.
Worst Mexican Food In Sarasota – Worst food I have ever had - they actually microwave their food. Salsa is red water and horrible. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
