We have been going to Burnt Mill for 10+ years. We originally went there for a second opinion on health issues for our pup. Instead of putting our dog on expensive food Dr Oakley educated us on the root of the issue and we were able to resolve it. We have never left. This past week we had to put this same family member down. Dr Rhoads, Dr Smith and the entire Burnt Mill team have been amazing! I have done business with burnt mill all my life, large animals and small. On three different occasions in three different years, I have called for service, I have been told each time that the doctor is busy and will return my call. This past week I was told this on three different days. I am still waiting for a call. I have always paid my bills and can’t understand why this is happening. I can't express my gratitude enough for the care my "Smokey" received during his last day of life. The care and attention he received was amazing. I also want to thank Dr. Rhodes for his compassion, both to Smokey and to me. He went back in to check on him during the evening and called me around 9:00 to let me know that my kittie was regressing from earlier in the day, and he was advising to euthanize that evening so he would not continue to suffer. We miss you guys so much down here in FL. Some of the most dedicated and caring folks we have ever known. You were there for us when three of our 'fur-babies' crossed the "Rainbow Bridge" and we will always remember that. No matter what time we called you would get back to us. You just don't find people like that any more these days.
My family has used Burnt Mill at the very beginning of the practice with Dr. Simms and Dr. Oakley. I have continued using Burnt Mill for all my dogs. Dr. Rhodes is fabulous and the staff is top notch as well. Compassionate and top quality care.
