I had my knee surgery at Burnside Hospital on 23/09/2025, and my experience was outstanding from start to finish. The anaesthesiologist, Dr Martin Tyson, was exceptionally good; very calm, understanding, and careful. He took the time to clearly explain the anaesthesia process to us, answered all our questions, and made both me and my family feel reassured and safe before the surgery. THEY WERE CRUEL TO MY CHILD - Awful, dark room with single bed - no working tv - Rubbish internet - Courtyard was not private as promised - Labor room was small, pokey and boring - Tried to kick us out for the weekend - Food was average We chose Burnside because we needed a nice room to stay for days, because we live an hour away. The labour room was tiny and cramped. After a traumatic experience at another private hospital in Adelaide I was quite worried about my procedure booked at Burnside Hospital. The moment I walked in the Receptionist staff and nurses were outstanding. A special shout out to Morgan, Harriet, Fatima and Veena (apologies for missed spelling) Even though I felt like I was overwhelmed with anxiety, these staff members supported and cared for me like no other hospital stay I have experienced.
