Had 2nd & 3rd degree burns and ONE day post op this shift lead nurse who NEVER came to my room was like yea ur ready to discharge, everyone else working with me disagreed and they released me 3 days post op instead, had to go right back 6 hours later to ER for poor wound care on the burn units behalf.
After a horrible cooking accident, I was in need of a skin graft and the Shands Burn clinic was absolutely amazing. All of their staff- especially Dr. Cochran!- were very attentive and informative about the process both during my surgery and post-op. Certainly, no one plans for these types of incidents but rest assured, should you ever find yourself in need of their services, you can expect the very best from this team.
Amazing care for our daughter in January 2022. We had our last follow up appointment today and she healed wonderfully. We got to see our favorite nurse, Mr Rick, who is an amazing person. My daughter had such a great experience that she gets excited to go back to see everyone. 🙂
The absolute best place I can’t give the nurses staff enough credit they will do anything humanly possible to help you and to make you feel safe …. Thank you UF burn center nurses
