One of the only places I return to every time I’m in Alameda, guaranteed great food, reasonable price and pace of service; happy they have kept the outside seating!

★★★☆☆ Burma Superstar was definitely busy when we visited, and I can see why it draws a crowd. The restaurant looks great, has a lively atmosphere, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing. Unfortunately, the taste didn’t live up to the presentation for us. Really great Burmese food in Alameda. I quite enjoyed the sesame chicken with coconut rice, they complimented each other very nicely. The Sichuan style dry fried string beans were great as well. The food came out very quickly, within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Both indoor and outdoor seating, reservations highly recommended. The Burmese milk tea was quite strong and prepared similar to a Thai tea with condensed milk, however not nearly as sweet.

Just had a very special meal at Burma Superstar. I ordered the Nan Gyi Dok which consists of noodles with coconut chicken curry with a number of herbs and ingredients that paired so nicely with the dish. Rich and complex flavors. Such a lovely find!
