I have seen Dr. Burleson for 2 colonoscopies and a hemmorhoidectomy. He is very professional, explains everything clearly and takes necessary time to answer questions. His staff is friendly and professional. He is a very busy doctor, I respect his time too and appreciate him being efficient. With his kind of surgery I was extremely nervous and anxious and he did a great job through the entire process - pre-surgery, surgery, and recovery. I have and will continue to recommend him!

My original interaction w/the young woman at the desk was very pleasant. After filling out quite a few forms on an Ipad..I was then taken to a room to wait for over 1.5 hours.

I went to see Dr. Burleson as a second opinion for the treatment of a pre-cancerous flat polyp found in my cecum. He had gotten my records and studied them before my arrival for our first visit. When I arrived, he fully explained my condition and offered to treatment options. He removed the polyp using the DaVinci surgical system. My surgery was minimally invasive and recovery was quick, with very little discomfort. He and his office staff guided me through my procedure with much care and information. He is easy to talk to, ... read more

Dr. Burleson is an awesome doctor. He pretty much saved my life with emergency surgery in the wee morning hours. I had to have 2 surgeries with him 6 months apart. He explained each surgery in detail to me and asked if I had any questions. If I did he answered them and made me feel very comfortable for each surgery. Every post surgery visit was great. He listened and answered all my questions. Great bedside manners. The office staff is excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Burleson!!!

Dr. Burleson was available when I went to the Emergency room and I discovered I needed immediate emergency surgery and he saved my life. From his follow-up care and another surgery to remove tumors, I have been very impressed with him. He takes the time to explain every procedure and is very thorough.

I had a scheduled Right Hemicolectomy done in May 2017. This procedure was done via the DiVinci Robotic procedure. While still in the hospital recovering I became septic due to Dr Burleson perforating my small intestine, which required a second open emergency procedure and a total of 7 days in the hospital. Afterwards, he mentioned that that rarely happens. In the months after my ordeal, what were the odds that I had come across two other people who had this robotic procedure who also got septic

I just had a robotic right hemicolectomy done this week by Dr. B and I am astounded by his low rating in healthgrades. Outstanding, phenomenal, wonderful are not even close to describe this Doctor. He took the time- an excessive amount of time before my surgery to explain everything, he took the time- an excessive amount of time after the surgery to explain everything. He is without a doubt the best of the best in his field, I cannot imagine every using any other-staff is great too.

I had a sigmoid colectomy on Monday and was released from the hospital on Wednesday. I have been working from home since Thursday and I am recovering very well. On schedule to return to the office after two weeks from the date of surgery. Not only is Dr. Burleson a very talented surgeon but he is also the chief of the colon rectal surgery division at Baylor. It's great to have such a skilled surgeon close to home. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this doctor.

Dr. Burleson performed my Hemmerhoidectomy. He is not a hand holder. What he is, is a very skilled doc leaving me in minimal pain post op. Im on day 2, and I can walk. His no nonsense approach made me feel like he knew what he was doing and so I trusted him. That trust was well placed. Personally, I like the confidence and no BS approach.
