You go to a doctor...any doctor...hoping they have a good bedside manner, ESPECIALLY when it comes to kids. Dr. Burks is HORRIBLE with children. If you have children, do not take them to see this doctor. He is cold, unsympathetic, insensitive, and uncaring. My child was scared to begin with, being young and not having been to the eye doctor a whole lot. He strong armed my child, said to stop crying and get over it, and was absolutely heartless.
He is very hands on and consistent with his treatments. Follow-usp are exact and to the point.
My experience was horrible. I am insured 2 medical insurance carrierso which both include VSP. I was treated properly for a cornea abrasion which twasn't covered by insurance because of improper filing. Before, I scheduled a regular eye exam for contact which that billed my medical for $365 as well as using my VSP benefits. I purchased a year supply of daily wear contacts. Beforeinvestigation my account was sent to collections for the info Italian medical visit.
